Bellingham Diving?

Hey everyone,

I am planning on transfering up north to Western Washington University next year, and I was wondering if anyone knew what the diving is like in Bellingham Bay? I cant find much of anything about the area but I have seen that there are several dive shops in town. I like getting up early in the morning, and I am hoping to find some shore diving spots within biking/walking distance of campus that I can hit in the mornings before class and on weekends. I know several rivers and creeks dump into the bay so visibility is also a concern, although Im already used to pea soup anyways

Check out Teddy Bear Cove, off Chukanut drive, just south of Fairhaven. There is a steep trail down to the water. It's a beautiful place to see.

My son was going to WWU. On one of my visits I hiked down to make a dive. There's underwater rocky areas and grassy areas and lots of sea life.
