There was another more recent thread about these Rob Allen suits. They should be in the USA Distributor (Florida Freedivers) warehouse Mid May. I have been rolling around in the Reefpound and our Test Team in Indonesia have been abusing the suits, and Rob Allen and his Test Team in South Africa have been testing these suits for the past year.

If the Rob Allen name is on it, I bet it's pretty well made.

Re: Rob Allen Wetsuits

Does anyone know where i can get one of these suits online? One of the local dive shops had them in but sold out almost immediately and said they were on backorder. The stringer suit was selling for around $90 which is very reasonable. Let me know of anywhere. Thanks

Happy Hunting

Hi Matt,
I totally under-estimated the demand for the RA Skins and I really slipped up on quantity :>(

As you say, Austins and a few other shops have back orders for them.

The delay time for the next order will howver put them into a winter delivery when customers will be asking for the 3mm RA suits

We still have a few of the larger size RA Skins at Florida Freedivers but I am referring to XL and bigger.

Regards,
Mike.

Re: Rob Allen Wetsuits

Thanks I wear a size 6 wetsuit, would that translate to a size XL skin?

Re: Rob Allen Wetsuits

Behslayer- I like what your wearing in your avatar, what is it?

Blesum- see the old Picasso suit in my avatar, I retired it last year after 10 years of service. This was one of the first Picasso Closed cell suits. I coated all the seam junctions with vinyl elastic glue to keep the threads down. Other then that normal care is all I ever did. Open cell suits are not as durable as a surf suit that has nylon fabric on both sides? Many people use a soap water bottle to spray down with when they get in these suits, I just use water to soak my body as good as possible. Most of the time I would re-position the suit after I was in the water. The smooth skin insides seal against your skin, thus allowing less water to run thru them then a older nylon suit. This makes them warmer with less thickness.

Re: Rob Allen Wetsuits

Hello, just returned from a day diving with my 10year old son, and man was he excited to hold on to the bungee and go for a dogtooth sleigh ride..

That suit in my Avatar was made originally for Jay Riffe.. but working with Jay Riffe just didn't work out..

All I can say is if you like what you've seen from Rob Allen Wetsuits so far, wait until you see what is coming in soon.

Right now we just finished production on the new 3mm High Pant/Jacket Cell Suits and the Reversible Blue/Green 2mm. I've been testing those for the past few months and they're both real good suits for warm water.
