Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
Perfect Cesar. I went to a dive shop and had them put in a fresh battery in my D3. Thankfully the old watch still works.
I found a freedive snorkel so I'm good there too. David stays in shape but I need to get back to running. Looking forward to being back in the water with you guys.

Is there a vis report? What depth is the layer of darkness?

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
The viz was good before all the rain and lake rise. It may still be a little turbid from all the recent runoff.

Where are yall planning on diving? Il try to make it if I can. I'd imagine the vis won't be very good though.

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
Come on out if you can, I think we will dive the Travis County Park at Windy Point, 3:30 or a little after. Your right, the viz probably won't be great. It's been awhile since I've done any diving so I'm itching to get in the water.

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
How did it go? I had to work till 8:30... Was there any vis or did the boats muck it up on the 4th.

Any reports on vis off of Windy Point? I was thinking about jumping in tomorrow morning.

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
I was in Lago vista today by the lake, didn't get in but the water was super green. I'd imagine the vis is horrible.

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
As expected the vis was poor at Windy Point on Monday. It was nice to get back in water. It actually cleared up below the thermocline which was about 26ft. We may try to go again in a few weeks and will post it to let everyone know time and place.

Re: Lake Travis Freedive Club
I would think it will clear up now that the water level has been the same for a week or so. Boat traffic could still mess everything up though. All the ramps are open so everyone that had been kept out have been bombarding the lake. If anyone wants to come down and do some dives I'd still be happy to help out, and show you around.
