I found that the head strap doesn't stay on my head with medium length hair, mounting the camera to the mask directly makes it too heavy and uncomfortable, BUT the chest mount works great

I guess the mask mount depends on what mask you have. I have the micromask and it fits my face so well that I didn't even notice the hero2 with a battery bacpac on it. I now have the hero3 which is smaller.
