Odd Inshore Catch

I'm back in NJ for the week. Orbayburak and I got out on the panga north of cape may and hit some offshore buoys and lumps within 15 miles. Hit the bridges in the morning and got one real big sheepshead. Then ran out and buoy hopped. I choked on a shot at a 40+lb cobia. Wanted to let him turn for a broadside shot but he went right past me and left. We found a ton of lesser amberjacks around the buoys. We only took one, but could have gotten several more. There were no trigger fish on the buoys but we got a few off the wrecks. Burak shot a monster barracuda off one of the buoys. Hit one buoy a bit farther out and it was covered with chicken mahi mahi. Picked up two, but didn't want to clean too many small fish. Got back to the dock by 2pm. Water was green but very clean (15-30ft vis offshore). All around great day out on the water. Great to see some southern fish up in our waters.
