Re: Daily Vis report thread

We got out today out of Barnegat Inlet for some diving. We headed East about 12 miles and our first stop was in about 80 ft on the Ridge. We were surprised to find the pea green water mostly gone. Vis on the bottom was about 20 to 25 ft and some nice lobster came up. Next stop was slightly inshore and we had the same conditions and bottom temps were around 59(more lobster and fluke). The water seemed much cleaner this week than it has been in a while. Hopefully it continues to clear up and move inshore.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Once you hit 55-60 feet it looks like it gets a lot cleaner

Re: Daily Vis report thread

I went surf fishing today by Lavalette and the surf looked pretty clean. If I had more time before dark I would have jumped in. Some mullet , kingfish and snappers spotted. Hopefully some bigger fish will follow soon.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

FINALLY!!

Water in extreme South Jersey cleared up nice today and we had some beautiful water. Unfortunately the fish were scarce when I was in but I did manage to get a big triggerfish out at the deep end and some great videos of tropical fish and my first sea turtle sighting!

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Dove off of MoCo this afternoon, found some great 10-15 ft viz not to deep, thermocline was in full affect today.... saw lots of big big tog but waited, they ended up spooking... regardless, there was exceptional viz somewhere finally, fingers crossed that it'll be around everywhere soon...

BasstoMouth - Were you diving out front in MoCo or your usual spot(s)?
