Re: The Other Side of the Conception Coin..

Maybe a dumb question, but could you put them in an old barbecue grill with the lid shut to charge?
Another dumb question: should we be using eye protection/welders gloves etc. handling these?

If cells vent burning gas then they are like little rockets, so something needs to contain them if they break loose from the charger. The biggest danger is when they are charged up as they are then full of energy which would like to get out. As for eye protection I cannot say, but the charger should not be on something flammable and so I am thinking of a metal top table rather than a kitchen bench. My advice is keep away from charging batteries, but keep them in sight and once the charger finishes the charge pull them out after a resting period with the charger off. Don't handle hot batteries, and if they are hot think about throwing them out as the batteries should not get hot, maybe warm at most.
