Anybody using these?
They've been out for awhile now, and are stupid cheap.

Re: Anybody using these?
yes sjcams work almost as good as a gopro silver. unless you are super high end video guy, they are great. beware if you buy off ebay, there are knock off ones that suck (I know, a knock off of a knock off). also, they have the 5000 now which are a tad better/more expensive.

Re: Anybody using these?
Well I spent fair amount having my old Canon repaired, but I'm in Maui right now and it's dying again. So...I'm looking to replace it. Looking at the SJ cam, the Intova Nova, or just biting the bullet and buying a GoPro. I'm not looking for fancy at all, but after reading the reviews I'm concerned about the quality control with the Chinese stuff...

Interesting. I've just bought a GoPro. If I loose this one, will give these a try.

That fish eye lens could create distortion underwater.

Re: Anybody using these?
Just got home from Maui. My old Canon made it through the trip, but barely. Went through three sets of batteries in ten days of light use. The last set survived a half dozen sunset photos last night and about a 30 minute dive this morning before we got on the plane to come home. That's all I could get before the low battery light started flashing and it turned off.
The shop we rented some gear from was pushing the newest Intova cameras, but I dunno about their reliability. Read mixed reviews... |

Re: Anybody using these?
We have a here 2 and a amazon special lightdow ld6000. It works great. Better video than the gopro. I am not sure about the editing software though. Havent had it long enough.
