Re: Beach Vis
Went to Pepper Park today with a buddy. Took a kayak out, easy launch with low surf. Hit the first and second reef, had to come in at noon due to equalization issues and my buddy thinking he was too tough to wear a wetsuit :/. Vis was about 15 feet on the first artificial and 25 on the second reef, 75f water temp. Saw a lot of small mangrove snapper, some almost legal sherpas, one small hog and some really nice snook under the ledges. Lots of bait out on the artificial too.

Re: Beach Vis
Hey Force,
Do you live in Jupiter? I live in Jupiter and am new to the area so I am always looking for a shore dive buddy. I don't have a boat yet but I get out from shore when the weather is good. Give me a shout out if you need a dive buddy ever. My wife hates it when I dive alone. |

I live in Vero Beach actually. I had business in West Palm and decided to go for a morning dive on my way. I am keen to get back out around the Jupiter area very soon, I don't mind the drive. I dove on the buoys about 2 miles south of the inlet, not much out on the reefs besides a school of bonito and tons of bait fish. Getting out with a buddy would be great! |

Re: Beach Vis
Anyone diving the close-in stuff around Ft. Pierce inlet...????
We're going out tomorrow and trying to decide on fishing or diving. I generally don't try to load all the gear for both on my 23' boat....it just gets too crowded to enjoy the day. One diver hasn't been in the water for a year, and I don't want to drop on the deeper ledges until we get some bottom time in shallower water. Thanks. |
