Re: Gone Bush

Unfortunately, my furry friends are safe and sound, but it was a great excursion anyway. Lots of sign around, so they may not be so lucky next time.

Re: Gone Bush

Ha! Yeah, it's definitely nothing like the old Florida sandhills and swamps. I'm almost embarrassed to say, but this was only a half-day hunt. I was back home by 2:00. Next time we'll be heading up to the top of the ranges in the background. Here's a few more shots - tracks in a clay pan, inside the native timber (the manuka scrub and tussock are very, very, very dense, but it opens up under the taller trees), and the panorama.

It was really windy today, so that probably kept the animals in the scrub. Hopefully we can get a good calm day before the roar is over.

Re: Gone Bush

I just found this post. Is that the shire? Do those trees talk?

Pretty sick scenery and good composition on the pic with the rifle.

Re: Gone Bush

Beautiful.

What were you hunting?

Rick went hunting in Australia for deer, but I think he was to concerned about stepping on snakes.
