3 mil temperatures

What's the coldest water temp that you could handle in a 3 mill suit?

Re: 3 mil temperatures

Why don't we go next weekend, get some divers together and check it out. I have most of what I need to make the dive platform but I want to drop a light down to 90 feet and see if it's worth the effort before I go to all the trouble.

I need someone to stay with the boat while I dive down.

Who wants to go?

Re: 3 mil temperatures

Water is still too cold for me.

If all you need is a boat driver, I may be able to assist depending on the day and time.

Re: 3 mil temperatures

It depends on what kind of suit u have. A two piece open cell will keep you twice as warm as a one piece closed cell surf suit. what kind of suit is it?

2 piece open

I might give it a shot, vis looks pretty good from the surface but 61 is still pretty cold, maybe I'll wait a week or two...

Re: 3 mil temperatures

Depends on the person. Someone from up North with some body fat and acclimation to cold temps could handle really cold (to me) temps, while a thinner person from the Keys may freeze to death. LOL! I've seen guys with NO wetsuit dive on days when I had on a 5 mil and was cold. . . go figure!
