Re: Daily Vis report thread
To answer my own question: Dove bluffs two days ago and it’s definitely still there. Never know w all the dredging/storms we see every year. Had 5’ vis at bluffs and took a nice tog. Dove manasquan river today and the water was almost 30 degrees warmer than the air, 5-10’ viz , took a decent size tog. Lots and lots of small bass.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
@bass...
true that, I went to Barnegat inlet last sunday morning early and the visibility looked very doable from the surface. I didn't dive, it was too rough with that terrible cold wind, but the water was indeed much warmer than the air. All the rain pouring and hurricanes in the south didn't ruin our visibility. |

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Dove the manasquan river again today, 5-7’ viz, lots of tog, some females pushing 7-8 lbs honestly. Shot a bass around 35” and it ripped off at the surface.. blame it on a shitty shot i guess. Either way, decent viz not as good as monday but lots of life.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
re opening an old previous discussion: why is there such stigma about shooting female tog when 99.9% of people don’t know what they’re shooting as far as M/F for other species? I’m all ears.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Bc being able to tell one is better than none. Also blackfish is the easiest to shoot so why not target only males bc you actually can

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Wont hear it from me. Nobody has a prob shooting cow bass. Female deer list goes on. I try to shoot a male first because they arnt as ugly as female tog. But if i dont see a decent eating size i got no prob shooting a fat ugly female to eat.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
I mean don’t get me wrong white chins are 100% more photogenic to show off but like more often than not we see people with males so what’s the problem with the guy who shoots a large female he sees on a random drop?

Re: Daily Vis report thread
At the end of the day male or female most people are shooting tog when the limit bears one fish

Re: Daily Vis report thread
If i had a boat i would. I think bluefin are illegal to spear out of nj for some reason. Not 100%.

Re: Daily Vis report thread
Dove in the manasquan river yesterday, looked brown but diveable before going in, ended up being 5-7 ft ish maybe, saw some legal bass but couldn't get shots on em, gonna try again today if anyone wants to get in.
Also, did anyone hear about the dudes fishing Brielle railroad tracks area that got caught with 46 undersized striped bass? What idiots.
