Lionfish in Collier County

You cannot spearfishin in Collier County, only county in FL where it is outright banned.

So my friends caught a lionfish nearshore and I posted it on facebook. News media caught wind and I was on the news after I launched a petition to lift the spearfishing ban here in Collier so we can shoot lionfish close to shore.

Sign the petition here. https://www.change.org/petitions/col...re_before_sign

and the news stories can be seen here http://naplesspearfishingleague.wordpress.com/press/
