Coming to Hawaii

So I'm going to be in Hawaii from April 10-17 at the Kannapali Beach Resort. Just wondering what kinda gear i should bring and what to expect such as water temp, size of fish, local restrictions, limits, and fish i can't shoot. lol. Also if you live in that area and need a dive buddy pm me & we can exchange info.

Glad to hear you'll be on the islands. Although several of the guys post here, I would recommend you reach out to the crowd at HawaiiSkinDiver.com as they'll have the answers for you. You can expect the water to be 75-78 that time of year. For dive partners, make sure you provide a realistic description of your capabilities as far as comfortable hunting depth and how much experience you have. Offering to buy beer will increase your responses exponentially, too.
I'm going to be in Maui third week of March so I went through this same process trying to network with folks.

Aloha,
Michael †

The best & safest choice would be to sign up with Jeremy from Spearfish Maui.
Jeremy runs a pro operation & you can blast Roi (invasive peacock grouper) till the cows come home!
