Re: Daily Vis report thread

Jetty spearing is still very doable in Barnegat Inlet, but it's over for video.
I shot a sheepshead (and missed) at maybe 8-15ft? from my head/camera, but the video shows nothing.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Vis has been workable everywhere I've been lately. Not great but workable. Someone's gotta get that 3.5lb trigger in NJ this year.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Someone HAS already shot a trigger bigger than 3.5lbs. I know of 2 people actually with the biggest going 3.93 I believe. Problem is it’s a pain in the butt getting the state to acknowledge anything, and not for nothing who really wants to waste good meat off of those fish waiting for the state to respond. That’s why it’s still vacant. In my mind if it’s not over that 3.9 mark, it doesn’t deserve to even be submitted knowing it’s already been bested. That’s just my personal opinion. Other than that nice catching. Stay safe.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

I was just passing by Manasquan inlet around 2:30 today (slack tide) omw to the girlfriends beach house in Lavallette and it was loaded with divers. Counted about 6 dive flags. Water looked pretty damn clear (from what I saw at the surface) and loaded with baitfish. Left the scene feeling bummed out I wasnt in the water lol

Re: Daily Vis report thread

I'm in the same boat with those triggers. 3.5lbs really isn't that big. I've had a few borderline, but I usually get out on the weekends so I would have to wait until a weekday to get to the NJ Fish and Wildlife facility to check the fish in. Given that I work during the week, I just decided to eat them. Still would like to see someone get on the board though.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

dove SRI this past Saturday and saw a ton of Tog. Got one at 16" and sure enough saw some bigger ones (17/18") shortly after. Vis was pretty good. Was looking for some triggers but none avail.

dove MOCO yesterday and saw a bunch of fluke nothing great though and a lot of peanut bunker. Saw some nice bass in the surf of AP also.
