Heading to SPI 01.03.18

Any word on conditions at the jetties on Port Isabel (SPI). I am not taking the boat and want to walk out. If viz is bad I'll leave gear. I don't care about cold. Thanks in advance.

No word out there? Guess I'll load up the gear and hope for some visibility!

I don't think you'll find any visibility at this time. Likely a little rough too.

You can always check sPadre.com but as mentioned no viz and rough conditions are very likely ..

Re: Heading to SPI 01.03.18

Took my little boys to birding center and sea turtle rescue. Fascinating!!! Tons of turtle rescues due to Big freeze. Salt water fishing cut off for coast for two days. However, my little sea urchins did go into surf and boogie boarded. And they coerced me in too. No wet suit. Aaaaaaaaa! Was warming and clearing as we left Saturday. Looked like fish were moving bad into the shallows.
