22lb Blackfin

Went out on Wednesday and shot this little guy. I have never shot a fish using a speargun reel before, so that was fun!

Re: 22lb Blackfin

I went with my friend Jack who was taking Jenna out to shoot some blackfin. I hopped in and waited for the right shot (I didn't know how hard it would pull). I passed on the first five or six shots and then dropped down to about 20ft in 93ft of water and pulled the trigger. The 5/16th shaft with three bands just missed stoning the fish. The fish pulled about 50ft of line and went limp. The shot had caused some serious damage to him and he wasn't very frisky. So I went 1/1 for blackfin with the first shot on my new reelgun. I don't really get to go out much anymore so it was nice to get something that had weight to it!
