Inshore Snapper Action
What can I say, this has been an incredible summer, inshore, offshore you name it.... On Sat we went out hoping to redeem ourselves, two weeks ago we went out to a spot on the Jetties that has a nice drop to about 45 feet, the plan that day was to fish a tournament (rod and reel), plans changed when we found 30+ foot viz on the jetties. Since the plan was to fish I only brought a riffe 44 with no float line on reel, when I did my first drop I was sorounded by tarpon followed by some cuberas in the 20-30 pound range, I THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE EASY PICKING, BUT CLOSING THE GAP WAS IMPOSSIBLE AND I DIDNT WANT TO EDUCATE OR INJURE THESE TASTY CRITTERS.Any ways this week was diffrent I was prepared with my 55 yoko and float line should these critters be around, to our suprise the viz was less than 10 feet, off we went to our inshore spot that yielded 15-20 foot viz and snappers like roaches.. It wasn’t easy shooting, but very fun and excellent to see a student (my 15 year old cousin) shoot nice fish the way he was taught by my uncle, brother, and me.We eneded the day with about 15 snapper and a couple of sheepies..Here are some pics ...

Re: Inshore Snapper Action
Cesar I know what your talking about. Don and I probably put 80lbs of fish in the boat last week, less then 4 miles offshore!"
