Has anyone used a RIB to make a couple of floats?

I just acquired a Rib that I plan to cut a couple of the compartments off and use for floats, has anyone tried this?

Re: Has anyone used a RIB to make a couple of floats?

I have used the bow compartment of an old rib for a float. Only problem is it takes up quite a lot of space, even deflated. The side tubes would have been better because they would roll up smaller, but they were not viable in my case.
