Riffe Bluewater shaft setup?
Hey guys, just curious how most people rig their Riffe Bluewaters. Though mine came with a 11/32 shaft, I plan to size down to 5/16 for less recoil, with 4 16mm bands. Any input?

Re: Riffe Bluewater shaft setup?
If Riffe has done its homeworks, probably the stock setup is the one that fits the gun better. I wouldn't mess with it, unless you maintain the shaft weight (shorter but thicker or longer and thinner).
Lighter shaft means less recoil, but it also means less punch. I wouldn't do it. If recoil is what bugs you, have you thought about modifying the handle to suit your hand better??? It should help directing the recoil into the palm of your hand. Modified handle + stiff arm seems like the ticket to me! Mikel |

Re: Riffe Bluewater shaft setup?
I shot a Riffe Blue Water for years. I would try a 5/16 shat with 4 14mil bands. It will shoot smooth and have plenty of power.
