Egmont Channel Spearfishing

Has anyone spearfished the Egmont Channel lately outside the Skyway? What is the best depth to start at?

We are thinking of checking it out when the weather clears up.

dont usually go near the channel. too much good bottom in the general area to dive in a shipping lane

I agree, but I heard there are some pretty good size ledges that hold fish.
