Regarding the mount I think it's cool but the
Few mu I've shot (and this is reflected in some of The pics posted) have a very noticeable dark contrasting Outline or shadow to the scale pattern that extends Down side of fish. I'm not being critical b/c Everyone wants something different in a mount But I'm constantly working with color, texture and shadows in my Job and that's what jumped out that was lacking or you may have been looking For on mount. Great fish and cool art either way!!

I've made a bit of progress with the mount.
Unfortunately I had to quote sections of what we call the Consumers Garuantees Act, which, in a nutshell, protects consumers from faulty goods and blatant ripoffs, and ensures you get what you pay for. The original taxidermist clearly doesn't trust himself to do a good job, so he offered to pay for another taxidermist to repaint it. Unfortunately for him, he's extremely cheap, and the taxidermist who will do the repaint isn't. He'll end up paying the other taxidermist about 65% of what I paid him. |
