I just want to post my two cents before this thread goes away.
my buddy also broke a pair of fins hopping off a boat. They were leaderfins made of a fiberglass carbon sandwich. Junk imho

Jumping off of a boat in carbon fins..even with the top quality ones, is a terrible idea.

soft and they feel about 30-40 %ish easier to kick with than the plastics but it 4sure propels further with less effort. now it feels like i can kick all day in the water no problem no cramp no ankle pain
