Special division of riot police (Korea) using Roman tactics
Interesting video to watch and would like to see it use during a riot and not just practice. It does look to have several excellent maneuvers to surround and capture certain 'elements'.

That looks impressive, but what if the rioters choose to go around the formation, instead of attacking it straight on? I've also never seen a real riot where there were as many cops as rioters. That would be a nice luxury indeed.

I think the white lines on the ground are supposed to be the street/building boundaries. I'm only guessing but it looks like an urban street width.

I've trained with the ROK Army. If the riot police are as badass as those dudes the best plan is hold your riot in some other country.

Fishfan,
You're probably right, in which case their tactics make a lot more sense. Harvester, I've seen riots first hand, where a mob decides, for no logical reason whatsoever, to take out their anger by destroying hard working people's homes, shops, property, and overall lives. Rest assured, that if I'm ever in a position to help stop a riot that might destroy anything that pertains to you or yours, I'll respect your beliefs and step aside so they can do whatever they want. |
