Yamamoto 45 neoprene repair
I just noticed my Oceaner Rec45 has 2 small tears by the velcro portion where the top and bottom pieces meet. Anyone know which neoprene repair glue works best for Yamamoto 45?

Re: Yamamoto 45 neoprene repair
You mean the best one you’re allowed to buy.
The manufacturing grade is too dangerous to sell to the public. But go to your local dive shop and get one in a brush top can (if it doesn’t come in a brush top it's a good bet you don’t want it). Separate the rip, and brush the glue onto each face, then let tack off till it is not tacky to your touch. I know the gut feeling is to put it together while still wet.. BUT DON'T! Once together press as hard together as you can. Or for professional repairs, you can send it to; Seatux Inc I started making custom wetsuits and dry suits in the late "70s. Now retired in Port Charlotte Florida all I do is repairs and alterations. If you have any questions about making any repairs don’t hesitate to PM me, I'm happy to give you some pointers. Good Luck |

Re: Yamamoto 45 neoprene repair
Spetton glue works really well, I ripped a fairly large hole in my eliosub top. The seal is very strong.
