Fish Lake Tournament Was a Huge Success

Just got back from driving 10 plus hours from Fish Lake Utah. We broke a bunch of state records plus set some new World Records too. I will give a full report in the next couple of days with photos. But I can tell you that the fish are So big. It was awesome... Thanks you all for coming out and supporting my series. As well as a huge thanks to my sponsors for making my tournament series a big big big success...

Re: Fish Lake Tournament Was a Huge Success

The fish in the pictures are Lake Trout also called Mackinaw also Splake Trout. Which is a cross bread between Lake Trout and Brook Trout.

Re: Fish Lake Tournament Was a Huge Success

Thanks Mike B and James for putting on this tournament. It was a blast and a crazy experience. Diving while it is snowing on us was a first for me and probably a last. It was FREEZING! Air temp was 34-39 and water surface temp was 52-54 degrees. Freakin cold. But after shooting some of those huge "Splakinaw's" it was worth it.

Whats wrong with my wet suit combo? Does it confuse you?

Thanks Jordan for that great deal on that Riffe!

Re: Fish Lake Tournament Was a Huge Success

Those trout are huge!!! I've been bugging the wife about a vacation out that way, and keep talking about that lake, but she's never paid much attention, until she saw those photos! One of these days I gotta get out there.
Awsome guys!
Ron.

Re: Fish Lake Tournament Was a Huge Success

Ron, that lake has Lake Trout, Splake, Rainbow Trout, Brooke Trout, Suckers, Carp, and probably some other species hanging out in the depths. As far as freshwater shooting goes, it is pretty incredible. It is at 9300 feet above sea level, so don't expect long breath holds. Mike and James did a great job of picking a time when the big trout would be up shallow, Hook and Line pressure would be light, and we would still be able to feel our fingers (barely). Good Luck

No, not confused. Just wondering, lol which half do you like better. I loved that beuchat when I had it. I eventually sold it so I could try an omer in a long size, but I would like to go back to the beuchat.
