Looks like heaven, I'd love to hunt Isla San Jose some time. I'm south off island ceralvo. I think the conditions are very similar due to proximity and Oriantation to prevailing wind from the north, we have a afternoon thermal that makes our wind much stronger. March is good, the fish come and go with the ocean temps. May is the end of the windy season. Try for four days in case of wind so for sure you dive 3. If you know what fish are in and exactly the spot you want to spear maybe a local fisherman can cover you, how's your Spanish? Last time I tried this there was excessive water in the boat all day, the motor was in bad shape, it was hard to get the captains attention when you were in the water, and we saw no fish. The Marlin was a life time memory, to battle a fish like that was a,blast

March is good, wind in LV aria doesn't blow till noon, not unusual to do some blue water in the am and hit the sheltered inside "reef" shelter of the island. The Captains have been running those waters in panga's for all there adult lives as fishermen, Besides the fish do not mind the wind. Spend the money on a real guide and a boat.
