I am working with DFG and Noaa to get the Eel river open to spearfishing for the squawfish. Ron S. was telling me that you organizied a squawfish derby on the Yuba river a couple of years ago.
Could you tell me how easy it was to spear the squawfish? After you speared one was it hard to get more from that school, or could you just get one after another.
Also did someone from DFG know about the derby and can be called to say to noaa how many fish was killed and how succesful it was.
I know you mistakely had this derby in a salmon spawning area but no on cares here. Everyone just wants to know how hard it was to spear the squawfish and how many you guys got.
