I'm heading to one of your favorite destinations soon. My family and I are going to South Andros April 3 - 10. We have Captain Rogge booked April 7 for a day of freediving.
I wanted to ask your opinion on hawaiin sling versus polespearing. I have an 8' Aaron Crist polespear but have never used a hawaiin sling. You seem to have fantastic results with the sling though and its got me thinking maybe I should purchase one before our trip.
We rented a house thats two minutes from the Congotown Airport and its right on the water. I read in one of your post that you and your friend did some shore diving. After looking at Google Earth it seems that the reef is about 300 yards from the beach how far would you suggest I go beyond the reef to start diving?
If I get just one black for the week I'll be happy! Thanks for the advice.

when you are on AC look up Scott at Palapa Bar 661-6353. He is a spearo. Also check out Crazy Canucks and ask for the bartender Alejandro "Ali". He will go out also. Nolan at the Boatyard behing the airstrip on the Annis Bonney is a great waterman and spearo. Captain Abel will take you north, he has guns, stuff to use etc. let him know what you want to do, he will go aenywhere. I am stuck on a tour in the US now or I would go out with you everyday. Sorry to miss you.
