Re: How to clean hazy perscription lenses?

I don't have direct experience with what you are dealing with, but you might try automotive polishing compound, not rubbing compound. Maguire's Plastx would probably work well, but doubt if you can...

Re: Nice Hogfish

Where did you get the "half-moon" spare shaft holders? They look like the ones TinMan made for me many years ago.

Re: Financial/Investments

Thank you for the feedback. I currently have 2 pistols in 40S&W and plenty of ammo purchased at pre-COVID prices so was intrigued with the idea of options with a new 10mm I don't have any ammo for. ...

Re: Financial/Investments

Basically my understanding is the extractor holds the 40 in the rear of the chamber against the breech. The extractor holds it secure enough the firing pin can ignite the primer. I perceive it...

Re: Financial/Investments

I have been considering a 10mm because I've seen videos shooting 40 S&W out of them and reporting no issues. Have you ever tried this?

I am guessing if you shoot 40S&W thru it frequently, then...

Re: Financial/Investments

Got lucky to be in the right place at the right time - I bought some Tilray @25.74 last Friday thinking it was going to be a good long term investment. I sold it after hours on Wednesday night...

Re: Financial/Investments

BassPro/Cabelas stopped shipping ammo to your house a couple of weeks ago. I've been checking the on-line inventory for my sort-of local BassPro, and if accurate, their in-store inventory looks like...

Re: Financial/Investments

I was able to make a little bit of money on SWBI recently. I do a lot more dry fire practice now days and a lot less live fire. I have a fair supply of both FMJ and SD to hopefully last till ammo...

I was going to try the hog hunting in Okeechobee this year, but was overcome by events. If medical situation improves, loved one, not me, this year could be a go. I sure hope so! 308 is my plan.

Re: Financial/Investments

I took my profits on the Smith & Wesson (SWBI) a couple days ago. Gonna keep watching SWBI, Vista, Ruger, and consider picking them up again before the 20th.

Re: Financial/Investments

Very nice! I'm guessing the answer was south of $500 :D

If I had a crystal ball to know when ammo prices will return to "normal" I'd probably sell off most of what I have now

Re: Financial/Investments

Sounds like good investments to me :thumps:

I'm hoping to find a Black Friday deal on a 16" 5.56 or .223 Wylde barrel.

In the meantime, I'm still holding onto my S&W stock - it can bounce down...

Re: Does epoxy hold silicon? (for gun butt pad)

It looks like it might be thick enough to countersink some pan-head screws, maybe even with washers to mechanically hold it in place?

Re: the Imp[ortance of: Shot Placement

It looks like you were holding onto the bands with your right hand on the 1st shot. That probably had influence on both the accuracy of the shot as well as shaft velocity/penetration.

Re: Why are my groupers and snappers cooking into rubber??

Just throwing this out there - when I cook beef, I don't try to cook the whole cow in one piece.

Same goes for larger fish and even lobster. If you try to cook a large piece of fish on high...

Re: Remove AR grip

Jon, does your grip have the hole for the AR-15 Safety Detent Spring? Have you tried it on a land based AR-15 lower?

Re: Remove AR grip

I learned something new today - never heard of left hand drill bits before. How do they extract screws? It seems like a drill bit would drill a hole, not extract a screw, but I guess they do.
