Re: Mythicon Erevos fail to latch shaft

The Riffe eurogun uses a forward mech similar externally to its standard square shaft tail mech, whereas most euroguns now use reverse mechs, but not all of them. The rear of the spear tail and the...

Re: Mythicon Erevos fail to latch shaft

A reverse trigger mechanism not made for euroguns is the Australian Sea Hornet and its American counterpart the Biller. Unlike most reverse trigger mechanisms these are cam lockers that use close...

Re: Mythicon Erevos fail to latch shaft

I figured that you might have bought the gun second-hand and it is very likely the spacing washers have fallen out after deteriorating. The forward latching trigger mechanisms are very reliable but...

Re: Mythicon Erevos fail to latch shaft

I think that the mechanism must have had spacer washers as usually the levers are close flanked by the housing walls or you need spacers which are often nylon washers. Washers can crack and break...

Re: Rebikoff Ratchet Cocking Speargun

The Rebikoff gun failed to sell at 600 USD. Not surprising as that included shipping which would be around 130 bucks for a heavy gun given the big alloy castings used, and maybe more.

Re: Mythicon Erevos fail to latch shaft

All I know about that mechanism is that the trigger operates a control rod that runs back to the rear mounted mechanism that you can adjust to change the trigger position with respect to the handle...

Re: Rebikoff Ratchet Cocking Speargun

We can see why Rebikoff inverted the gun compared with his earlier proposal as it means that the ratchet lever pivot did not have to be on a yoke that flanked the sliding barrel with the pivot being...

Re: Carp Burgers?

Searching found this recipe. Looks like ground meat is really the only option.

2 pounds Asian carp fillets, ground
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs( this is optional)
2 tablespoons fresh garlic,...

Carp Burgers?

Not a fish that I would spear, but as Carp have reached plague proportions in rivers and lakes has anyone tried them in a fish burger? Slimy creatures with quite a few bones is there a recipe for...

Re: Riffe No Ka Oi Muzzle Flip after adding Neptonics Ballast

That is right, especially if you have never shot a gun before or have been using euroguns. Many guns today people expect to shoot with one hand, but before they became popular many guns needed two...

Re: Riffe No Ka Oi Muzzle Flip after adding Neptonics Ballast

The thing to remember is that spearfishermen have a wide range of physical characteristics, such as their height, body mass, limb lengths and their relative proportions and the strength of the...

Re: Riffe No Ka Oi Muzzle Flip after adding Neptonics Ballast

Just watched the video and the gun nose is certainly lifting and knocking the spear tail up on departure. A gun needs to be braced for the shot unless it is highly ballasted which means very heavy...

Re: Riffe No Ka Oi Muzzle Flip after adding Neptonics Ballast

Use band lifters to allow the bands to stretch parallel to the top deck. As they skate along the barrel and fatten up they can lift the spear tail off the guide track. This is because cord wishbones...

Re: Any kind of trigger mechanism for a sling spear?

Something a little less flimsy than the unit above and made in Ukraine, not Asia. Uses a hinge trigger. About 120 bucks plus shipping.

Re: Trigger-guard mounted reels

Reels mounted on trigger finger guards are not new and have appeared on pneumatic guns a long time ago, for example the South American Cobra Sub and Mako Sub classic layout pneumatic guns. The trend...

Re: Ermes Avatar speargun handle

Similar styling to the handle with those angles, has the same options for either a 26 mm or 26.5 mm ID barrel tube depending on the "O" ring seat selected. The main thing is you don't want the line...

Re: The Infinite Engines Dreamair moves from dream to reality

There is now a lifetime Warranty on all Dreamair Components with a 5 Year Warranty on the Dreamair Carbon Fiber Body.
This assumes a service of the gun once a year.

Re: Any kind of trigger mechanism for a sling spear?

Just chanced on this fibreglass pole spear from Taiwan made under the "A-Jiou" brand name. The trigger operates by hooking over a small washer which means the draw is fixed, however that is not...

Re: New spearo, Salvimar Predathor Vuoto

Re: Full face snorkels

The largest drawback with full face snorkel masks is you have a big air bubble strapped to your face which, unlike a conventional snorkel, you have no mouthpiece to spit out if you find yourself in...
