I posted these Pictures a while ago. Think it a Request from Aaron Crist.

This is an old Pole concept, an upgrade to the design could be done. This is a Trigger mechanism, no wiggle room in...

Re: Polespear Build - Titanium?

I see your weight at 3 lbs and take off like 11 oz for buoyancy.

Ti is like 60% more dense that Aluminum , but twice as strong based on which alloy you got.

You got the Center of gravity...

Re: Polespear Build - Titanium?

Re: SlipTip Spectra Holders

Magnet is a great idea, along with Behslayer's direction of anything on the gun already that can be used, vs adding more hardware.

After thinking a little more, add a compression spring, screw, 2...

Re: Help Needed, DIY Jap Style Polespear

Set up a target and do some practice shots. A ring on a float or something can be put together. I made a small square PVC target. I tied a couple weights on the bottom and set it on the bottom of...

Re: Help Needed, DIY Jap Style Polespear

You did a bang up job on it. Folks looking at final design might not realize just how much time you spend on the design aspect of it.

The parts are all typical CNC without much fancy...

Re: Evolve aftershock spear

Not sure if it's a plus or not. Have to assume it is or they wouldn't be marketing it.

When the pole/tip hits the fish you have a fixed amount of Momentum. (Mass * Velocity)

At impact, the...

Re: Anyone use zipties for making bands?

Phil is correct IMHO.

The constrictor knots are way stronger and not even close. The Cable Tie method do work pretty good on Pole spear rubbers and are great for use in the field.

There are...

Re: Budget jbl pole spear mod

If a weight is just a chuck of metal, yes. Got some shorts out of 13/16" SS ~ 3- 4" long.

Each rod leaves a short running them on CNC.
