Re: Inverter roller Spearguns extensive write up.

If you want to go all out on max power without massive recoil, then inverters can handle it better than traditional. Inverters basically give you added room to hopefully get that shaft to max desired...

Re: New speargun

Long sleeve, respirator and about 3-4 layers of gloves. I would try to cut the carbon in an open environment and the lamination part in a well vented place.

Re: New speargun

reinforce your build with carbon/kevlar laminations, not only will it protect the wood but it will reinforce it as well.

Re: cracks on trigger area

Just saw the first pictures and noticed a few things, your wood looks very thin there, and therefore it would make sense for it to start giving. since your inside wall is already at max with the part...

Re: Sigalsub nemesis handle

Completely disagree with the assumption that the only reason you should have an open muzzle is to run tabbed shafts.

I pretty much came into the hobby when Rob Allen, Aimrite and Rabitech were...

Re: Sigalsub nemesis handle

I disliked this handle solely on the way the line release was designed (in front of the trigger and not behind). If you like to put tension on your rigging line, front line releases are not for you....

Re: Trigger Mechanism Design Rules

Let me just say that I switched over to these handles and the B28's are amazing and by far the best handles I've shot. Zero line release movement with tight rigging, smooth pulls and great...

Aimrite 105 Inverter

Up for sale is a fully restored carbon 105cm Aimrite. I personally took this speargun apart and ordered brand new components for her from Hawaii, ss line release, retaining pins, hang grips, etc....

Re: Building a 36 inch roller for a gentleman with a torn rotator cuff.

Great to have another professional in the fields! :toast:

Ever handle a pneumatic before? You can stabilize the gun with the weak limb and load with your unaffected relatively easy without giving...

Re: Building a 36 inch roller for a gentleman with a torn rotator cuff.

From a physical therapist and Spearo point of view, your friend is playing with fire, my suggestion is that whatever build you make for him is for him to avoid primeline rubbers altogether and stick...

Re: New OJ Spearguns 135 Inverted Roller

Replied, if you have any questions just shoot me up. Balance is key! once you're at optimal give on the rope, that's where you start calculating from. Remember, your shortest band will be your 1st...

Re: New OJ Spearguns 135 Inverted Roller

Cool looking blue water with break away rig. That gun has a lot more potential than how they rigged it. They don't even have a pre-stretch on your pulley bands. Better pulley systems could have been...

Re: Ermes Avatar mods thread

have to be careful with these foam systems you may be referencing. Marine foam whether high density or low density have a water allowance spec. In aluminum barrels the 4lbs could absorb less water...

Re: Ermes Avatar mods thread

Would like to see a picture of it to better understand it. I'm not quite sure how the hold downs with the avatar handle, maybe it's at the bottom and there should not be an issue or if you have it at...

Re: Ermes Avatar mods thread

How much lead so far on the 90 to get her balanced some?

Try some pre-load on the bands 10% so you're always tight and never come loose after the shot.

Metal reels on pipe guns just don't feel...

Re: Salvimar Tomahawk

The review given on youtube claimed that the gun was very muzzle light and the shooter would have to correct the shot a lot due to the muzzle wanting to lift at depth.

Re: Salvimar Tomahawk

They are losing about 2-3in per side of band stretch with those long "wishbones" & and junctions. If they could tighten up their bands they prob could squeeze a bit more out of her.

Re: The Andre Double roller 160? Thoughts?

Yeah, I follow that to the detail, it can become a pain every time a shot is let off and you forget to let loose your 2nd bot bands when is time to reload on a quick whim.

I wonder how they get...

Re: The Andre Double roller 160? Thoughts?

Very much so, it does get crowded and somewhat complicated, the more you experience the better you get at dealing with the set up's. I wouldn't fish a tournament with these style guns but I would def...

Re: The Andre Double roller 160? Thoughts?

Is the cord length on these systems determined on the amount of desired stretch you want to apply? (ex, I want my bands to stretch at 320% and no more) so therefore, you cut your bands and lines at...

Re: The Andre Double roller 160? Thoughts?

Just reference the Salvimar tomahawk for function reference. They are basically the same thing just in a tone down mode.

Re: The Andre Double roller 160? Thoughts?

You anchor your 1st set of bands and then load your first roller, then repeat, that's how the whole system works. The sail just allows you to stack more power in the system.

When the systems are...

Re: Inverter roller Spearguns extensive write up.

It all sort of started with the fusion and progressed to where I am now. I found no real power in the fusion and maybe that's because how I was setting up. That top band would get stretched out by...

Well I kinda don't want to be that guy but yeah, I encountered issues on both his muzzles, his response was that he no longer makes that muzzle and tried to offer me the new muzzle, I humbly declined...
