Nice! I really like the simple speargun tie system you are using, same one I use... very secure and safe. One thing I do when diving is tie off paddle and anchor on the starboard side of the yak......

Sanny: Good tips, thanks. No kelp this side of Baja, but a wet towell is a great idea when paddling with fish out of the water. I most always dive with a floatline/float/stringer... portable setup...

There is no spearfishing allowed inside the Federal Protected Marine Zone (Parque Nacional)... it's all fair game outside the park... plenty of dive spots accessible by boat, more difficult to access...
