Lake Powell or lake Mead- end of August striper?

Making a trip down with the boat from Wyoming to target stripers with the family. Which lake would be better of the two? I have never been to either. Also, any tips on either one? They are both huge lakes, so knowing where to go or just what kinds of area to look for striper could be tremendously helpful...

Haven't been on the forum in forever, but my kids are getting old enough that they want to start going, so we are gonna start making destination trips for spearing. My 11 year old son has got one carp before, but I want to try to get him in on some big fish that are good eating!
