Me, bigdaddy-bang, & limp diver set out early Sunday morning boat in tow to Ponce. We tried some new spots, first # was a bust so we moved on, found a great looking spot on the bottom finder, me and Peter suited up and dropped, typical of me and Peter buddy diving we hit the bottom and go different directions.

about half way through the dive I shoot a trigger fish string it get one band on my gun look up and there are a whole school of Cobia right in front of me. I think this is it I am finally going to get a Cobia, I raise my gun at the largest one, aim, fire, right in the gut.

I carefully work my way up the line to a very pissed off fish, and find 4 of the biggest stingrays I have ever seen, 6-8' across, with Cobia all over them. The fish finally kicked my ass, got off the shaft and swam away.

I redeemed myself on the next dive, Dave shot a Sheep’s, when one of us shoots a fish the other hovers above to play sniper, I hover, a Red Grouper comes out to see what’s up and ends up in the cooler. All in all a great day on the ocean, 2-3 seas, Vis 15-25, bottom temp high 70s, alot of jellies

Sorry about the pic I had trouble attaching it, than I tried to edit it and could not, I never posted before, still learning the ins a outs.

What depths? How far off shore? Nice toad!

I don't remember the exact miles but it was about 25 miles out, and 85' deep. Thanks for your tips last week Gradyman, We always look for your weekday reports.

Thanks, trying to head out tomorrow & you know how a report on this stuff saves the almighty gas dollars in the search for fish & fun!!

Definately, the days of, "well lets just go see what it looks like" are over, hell it costs almost $60 to trailer to Ponce. Good luck tomorrow look forward to your report.
