Please Delete!!!

For those that sell your items that you have posted, please delete the thread when your item(s) have sold. There is nothing more frustrating then reading through all the posts and wanting to buy the item, only to find that the item has been sold.

Thank you!

Re: Please Delete!!!

they should just change the first posting to say sold.

I like going through old posts to find out what price range other items sold for.

Its a good way to gauge what something is worth.

Re: Please Delete!!!

I would have to agree with tw1012, but it is annoying to find out at the end that it is sold, but interesting to read what things end up selling for.

The software for this discussion board is really a piece of s#@$ !! I simply cannot find how to delete old posts or edit them. also very difficult navigating the site, and not intuitive at all.
Anyone else agree ???

If you started the thread, all you have to is delete your first post. Then the entire thread disappears.

There is some time limit though. After a certain amount of time (and I'm not sure what it is) then you lose your ability to delete a post.

Re: Please Delete!!!

Guess we better price stuff low enough to sell quick then. I agree with keeping a post to compare prices, just change to SOLD.

Re: Please Delete!!!

A little off topic but: There are a lot of us out here that live a long way from the coast. Unless someone specifies that they will not ship I end up saying I'll take it, sometimes irritating the seller. So if you are only interested in local sales please say so. It saves us both time.

Re: Please Delete!!!

Man, Please Delete.
I cannot figure out how to do that.
We need a delete icon.

I disagree that history shows any value on an item. Is the seller motivated, lost his job, doesn't use it, or whatever. I bought a $ 700 Hatch gun for $ 275.
Sold a $ 1200 Riffe for $ 600 when I lost my job. A Wong is a Wong and have yet to see one given away.

Every sale is unique.

Please help me to help you.
You can delete all items I ever posted.
No items currently for sale.
