Any fresh water diving down in your area?
We are looking for a strong club- shop to step up and host some local fresh water meets in your region of the country??
Any recommendations?

Re: Fresh Water Diving??

We dive Toledo Bend on a regular basis, vis is usually better spring and early summer. You can hit triple digits in the river channel but vis is by light only, total blackout, light doesn't penetrate after about 70 ft. On a good day you can dive along the channel slope around 50 ft and have around15 ft of vis, it's a pretty good dive with a lot of giant oaks to swim through.
Spearfishing is illegal in Texas, and the river channel is the state line, so don't get caught on the wrong side of the river, they patrol on a reular basis.@

Uhhhhhh...... No it's not. You just can't spear game fish here. BAsically you're limited to fish like carp, buffalo, and tilapia.
