1996 Nautica 18' RIB Deluxe for sale

Now that we have four drivers in the home my wife wants the space back in our garage so I’m sad to say I’m selling the INSPEARATION. She’s a 1996 Nautica 18’4” RIB Deluxe with center console. She is powered by a Yamaha 115 2 stroke (low hours) that FLIES. She runs over 40 MPH (measured via GPS) and sips gas because the boat is so light. You can get to the islands and back for under $50 in fuel and it is so light you can even tow it with a minivan (like I do) and hardly know it’s there. (I’m selling it together with the Continental trailer).

Here are some of the details:

- I recently repowered with a 1986 Yamaha 115 hp 2 stroke four cylinder (Model: ETLK) – the motor has low hours and was previously a lake boat. It has been in saltwater twice running freshwater through motor immediately after each use.
- Excellent compression on all four cylinders (110 I think but you can verify)
- 55-gallon fuel tank – HUGE range
- 2.4 Remote oil reservoir (no premixing)
- Two batteries in good condition with dual battery switch
- VHF with large antennae that lowers for easy garage storage
- Lowrance HDS-8 GPS/Fishfinder with all my coordinates!
- SeaStar hydraulic steering system (the nicer model) for easy, smooth steering
- Center console with plenty of storage
- Double USB/phone charger and 12V charger
- LED lights (except for the tall pole light in the back)
- The trailer has all new stainless steel hardware and new leaf springs, and LED trailer lights that work
- I upgraded tires on trailer to larger ST215/75R14 which makes it tow really smoothly
- Bilge pump rated for 1100 GPH
- Comes with K-40 KPump air pump and carry case – the best quality fastest hand pump you can buy.
- Comes with life jackets and flair kit
- Mantus anchor with around 17 feet of stainless steel chain and plenty of anchor line
- Spare anchor and line
- New rub rail (about a year old)
- Removable rubber mats on floor
- Stainless steel steering wheel
- Just had carbs cleaned professionally
- Including brand new boat cover as well as suntan lotion for the tubes

So the boat is basically loaded and ready to get you out to where the fish are for WSB season. Here's a little background and further information. She is a decommissioned navy vessel that I bought and restored a few years ago. The tubes aren’t much to look at but they hold air pretty well and they're made of hypalon. I'm careful about keeping them fully inflated and deflating them when they heat up and expand or cool. I can get a report from Inflatable Boats Specialist if you want independent verification on the tubes. We can also spray the tubes down with soapy water and you can verify yourself. The fiberglass hull is in good shape. This is a very safe boat for making quick runs out to the islands.

CAPACITY – the vessel is rated for 12 people. It was so much fun taking kids, friends, and visiting family from out of town to the islands for diving, dolphin/whale watching, et cetera. I’ve had about 10 people on her (most were kids) out to Anacapa several times. I’ve had three divers with full scuba gear lobster diving several times. I’ve also had four freedivers (with guns and gear) before. It was tight for all of the above scenarios but it worked great.

Asking price reduced to: $10,995 OBO

Re: 1996 Nautica 18' RIB Deluxe for sale

Great boat, even if he posted a pic of me holding a YT pic with horrible shot placement. We have made many runs on this RIB and it's a ton of fun with a really smooth ride. Sad to see it leave the family, but hope it finds a good home.

On your death bed you will remember the time on that boat, with those kids and you won't give a damn about space in the garage. And, when you find out a boat is cheaper than therapy, and you go to replace that boat, you will have the real shock. With 4 drivers in the home, I would say you deserve a boat! Just not in the garage.

I just bought a new boat (RIB) and spent all weekend building a girl cave / garden shack for the wife as part of the negotiation.
