Cold Water Spearsuit

A few of us Bay Area hull divers asked Roger Yazbeck to come up with a winter-time spearsuit for us. We wanted a large pocket on the thigh, elimination of the chest pad, reinforcement on the seat and we wanted it to be 8mm. Well he did it! I understand this may not be what every spearo wants or needs, but if you're interested, go check it out. Available now for pre-order*

https://yazbeck.com/product-category...cial-wetsuits/

*Because this is a special order, a minimum of five of any given size must be ordered before they go into production. Once that happens, 6-8 weeks delivery time is expected.

Re: Cold Water Spearsuit

Well, I got to say that it looks great. As you say, not for everyone as I have never seen a wetsuit with pockets! Ok, maybe one flat pocket meant for the knife so it doesn't snag on kelp, lines or whatever (as happens when strapped to the calf).

Here in Spain two of the most praised brands are PoloSub and Marea. Both brands can custom made it for you (size wise, protection patches, etc). What surprises me is that, price wise, wetsuits in the US are much more expensive... Not critizicing! Just trying to find the reasoning behind it.

Here in Florida pockets are popular. A local dive shop had me installing a few of these a month on new suits they had sold;
Dive Rite Bellows Pocket #879642007353
It's a really nicely made glue on pocket, and was very popular with tech divers and spear fisherman.
Then again, most of us are SCUBA divers.

Thanks a lot for the clarification!

Both of those brands are Italian.

USA gear prices are somehow ridiculous. But the reason behind that is that most stores don't buy directly from factories, but there is a "distributor" in the middle.

I know I know! Just making a reference to top-of-the-line brands.
