With a username like bamafutbal, you're bound to find a bunch of Gators who are willing to take you offshore.

Just not many who will bring you back...

Re: Anyone out of Gainesville fl going to cedar key/steinhatchee?

Well, we made it out and had a great time. Seas were dead flat, like a mill pond all day. We made it to the 17 mile shrimp boat wreck and had top to bottom vis in 40 fsw. Looked like an aquarium. Huge rays and jewfish. Plenty of gags and very few sheepies but awesome none the less. I did get to tussle with a huge AJ until the jewfish had his dinner bell go off. We motored to another location about six miles from the wreck and found the fish a little more accommodating. Ended up with several over legal limit size gags and a mixed bag of fried fish plate fillers. Not too bad with a full moon the night before. A little bit of green slime is starting to show up though. Water temp was just at 70 degrees. Bait fish pods could be seen in many areas. Its getting ready to break loose!
