Re: what paint for neoprene camo project?
I used a standard cheap acrylic paint that worked well. It is easy to use and clean up. The only problem is that it fades a bit after some use. I think a latex paint would be much better for this application.

When you say neoprene suit I am kind of assuming you mean smoothskin, if so this should help:

For acrylic medium you could use Future Floor polish. It makes a nice acrylic medium/thinner (No soap or detergents in it), and is nice and cheap. I used it a lot as a thinner/base/medium airbrushing surfboards.

Re: what paint for neoprene camo project?
DONT' use latex paint! It washes off with very little water.
PS I sell commercial janitorial supplies and lots of my equipment gets a sloppy paint job when the owners repaint restrooms. Warm water takes it off in a hurry. I'm willing to bet that plain old light grey spray primer would help a suit blend in with the background. Sharks are naturally camoed with grey. |
