Canadian Spearos looking for spearfishing areas along the coast
Hi,
My buddy and myself are planning a trip in Rhode Island in the upcoming weeks. We have never been in this area and would like to know if anyone on the forum would be wiling to share potential spots. We have a 2 seater sit on top Ocean kayak. If someone would like to join us this would be really cool! We are also open to other states... we come from way up North! Also, what license will we need (as a visitor) to spearfish in RI? Thanks, Sly |

Just a recreational saltwater license($12?). If you get one for Rhode Island it will work for mass waters as well and vis versa. The september striper run should be good in NH if you don't want to go to far(Maine license may work in NH but I'm not sure about that). I would join you but I'm stuck up here at maine maritime...

As I understood ANY license issued in any New England State works for other 4 States (VT doesn't have a water access) interchangeably. Correct me if i'm wrong.
