Homemade Polespear Grip for $5.00
I made this polespear grip using rubber o-rings and 3/4" heat shrink tubing. Works pretty well and only costs $5.00.

That's my preferred grip as well. SeaStinger uses it. Others will spiral wrap a chord and put the shrink tubing over that, but the slant of the spiral wrapping actually assists in losing grip of the spear.

I saw the SeaStinger video and plagiarized their idea. Works very well.

Awesome looking grip. jfjf had the great idea of using a golf grip, works great and its cheap, too.

Where'd you get the heat shrink? Everywhere I've been stops at 1/2, which won't fit my spear. I used self bonding tape instead, but the heat shrink grips just look a lot cleaner IMO.

Awesome, thanks! I'd only tried Home depot, Lowes, and Harbor Freight.

Harbor Freight has heat shrink kit with up to 1in ID tubing. I used 3/4 ID and 5 orings to make grip for HeadHunter Predator. Very inexpensive and works great.

They must have been out when I was there. Thanks for the heads up though.

Re: Homemade Polespear Grip for $5.00
I went to the Harbor Freight closest to me and they did not carry anything larger than 1/2" heat shrink tubing. Maybe it was only my store.

Re: Homemade Polespear Grip for $5.00
I did the same thing, couldn't find heat shrink tubing big enough. I ended up going to an electrical store in BFE and they ended up having exactly what I needed.
