Thumbs up Thoughts on the 2013 Blue Wild ...............

The 2013 Blue Wild was very successful in my opinion. I have been to all the Blue Wilds over the years and this one was exceptional. The quality and quantity of the exhibitors was great. The attendance was huge. The speakers were informative. The show was humming with good energy.

Thank You Sheri and all the volunteers for a job well done!

I took just a few snapshots. Others should post their pics too.

Re: Thoughts on the 2013 Blue Wild ...............

Here are Sharrieff and Marco at my booth where I gave them each a brand new speargun.

The sponsors of Beuchat and Rob Allen are in the photo too.

They made it back to life after thier boat sank in the Keys.

They are super nice young men in person.

Next year should be a great Blue Wild too. Sheri's change to this time of year worked well.

Just remember to book your hotel rooms way in advance.

It took me three hours of driving around Saturday night to find one that cost $200 a night.

Thanks for the update!

How many $50 hotels did you have to slog through to find the $200 one?

They were overbooked.

BW skips leap years...if there is no feb 29 next year, then there should be a BW.

I thought it was a great show! Better than ever.

I want to thank Sheri (and her volunteers) for doing such a great job. I mean they got this thing down...professional event organizers could NOT do a better job.

We should also thank the many supporters who donated raffle and auction items as well. I have to thank Martin Stepanik http://www.martinstepanek.com/ and Fii for donating Freedive classes. I WON A COURSE!

THANKS
!

I was lucky enough to win one a couple years ago with PFI.
Let us know how it goes.

Re: Thoughts on the 2013 Blue Wild ...............

Every year after a Blue Wild event, I think to myself, whew...that's going to be hard to top. And every year, the previous event does indeed get topped! This year was certaintly no exception, and actually IMHO, this was the best one yet!

An absolutely top tier weekend! Non stop excitement and passion the entire event. Amazing Exhibitors, stunning products, interesting speakers, drop dead beautiful art and of course the great crowd that supported this one of a kind diving event!

If you missed it, you better plan on being at the 2014 Blue Wild which I believe will be at the same location in late February 2014 (I'm sure Sheri will release the exact dates as soon as she can).

It was fascinating to watch the crowds all talking spearing and telling thier stories and just having fun! I picked up a few new ideas, met some great people and just flat out had a blast!

It was truly a blessing to get to spend time with some of the older Legends and get to know some of the up and coming new divers in the sport. I think spearing will be well represented by this next generation of shooters!

There is nothing anywhere else in the world that comes close to this expo. I think we all realize how fortunate we are to be divers! Nothing better anywhere! Congrats to Sheri Daye for producing and blessing us with this memorable event! See you all next February!

And of course, If I can ever be of assistance, feel free to PM me here on this board!

Safe Diving, Dan
