Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread

We were north of Dume yesterday and the conditions were pretty murky even in the kelp.

Anyone go out this week? Looking to get up there next weekend, but sounds like the viz has been less than ideal...

Drove the whole coastline from lax to santa barabra, wasn't even worth stopping to look, green the whole way.

Went out with my yalk ytd west Bu. Viz was still murky at about 15', but I did score a nice 40# wsb. Get this, I posted a picture on my FB and realized I had posted a very similar picture exactly 2 years ago to the day. Pretty weird....thank you ocean for providing. I would post it here for porn, but can't be bothered (actually I forgot how)

South of Malibu.... LOL I believe you would be referencing the secret spot known as the Pacific Ocean. Well played

Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread

Will be out there tomorrow, hopefully the fog rolls out a bit early for once. Will report back tomorrow about the epic vis of my arm length most likely.

Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread

Vis 10-20' at times.the closer to the kelp paddys the worse vis is. Surfline report 1-3' but it was super choppy out past the break. A short quick drop and back up would drift me away like crazy. The white caps kept me busy.
Soon soon, I think the water will be fantastic, but it isn't there yet. Lots of broken kelp washed up on many of the beaches in malibu.
