Post Covid Diving
Hey Guys.
Check out this video. https://youtu.be/JZQ8kxkZwRY I wanted to share with you my first dive, 6 weeks after recovering from COVID. First of all, I’m not a kid anymore and COVID hit me pretty hard. Not too bad in the chest, but super fatiguing and terrible headaches. Symptoms lasted well over a month. Prior to COVID I could easily dive 147 feet. Six weeks after, I was still coughing a bit and noticed my lung capacity was diminished and struggled to get to 120 feet. I think I will fully recover, but it definitely affected my diving. Not trying to sway you guys one way or another on the vaccine. Just wanted to share my experience. Dive safe, Dano

Re: Post Covid Diving
Great going!
Nice to see you are better... the symptoms vary so much. I have a friend (38yo) that is struggling eight months later (never on respirator or oxygen, perfectly fit but messed up with hearth problems now), while others only feel tired once in a while. I think I may have played it a bit loose with covid, not really thinking about long term but oh well. I got lucky I think (I did wear my mask when I felt it was foolish not too and I skipped a few parties in Mexico). That said I got the shot ASAFP, but that's just me. I'm a daredevil! LOL.

Re: Post Covid Diving
All my best wishes Dano, looks like that even if you were seriously hit, you got out well... most people would never reach 120 feet, in their lifetime, even diving often and decently well.... ;-) Now, just a suggestion from a former medical Pro, dont push it... tissues require months for full recovery. There is plenty of fish even in a little more shallow water
