Hoping to go out of pinellas this weekend. Do you know if your friend was more Clearwater or St Pete or further south. Sometimes it makes a difference with viz?

Dudes, it's winter... There are other fun things to do in this great state. See y'all in March.

You gonna be there, Rich? Sounds like fun.

We're going to try and get the Dancing Dolphin out for some inshore fishing on Saturday - hoping the weather and bite is good.

Well the one upside for those who surf is we have gotten some great waves on the gulf coast. A few buddies got out inshore this week and said the redfish bite was great as well.

10-15 feet in 65 and 85 feet out of St. Pete yesterday. Less than 5 in 55 feet. Water was 60 degrees. Sea were great. We shot enough hogs for a couple dinners.

I'd be interested to know as well. Heard rumors of it being chocolate milk out to 100' off Sarasota. Was thinking of running out for a hook and line mission tomorrow.

Will be diving tomorrow. Hoping it's not any worse than 3 weeks ago when it was poor but good enough. Winds this week have been pretty reasonable so maybe.

Going hook and line inshore off Bayport tomorrow - with the viz and temps, no way I'm getting in the water for a while.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Hook and lined last weekend. Left Boca Grande Pass and ran out to about 130 feet. Never found a hint of bluewater. Wasn't dark water, just very stirred up green water. Looked like lots of sediment. Probably 10-15 feet of viz on the top. No idea how it was down deep, never got in the water.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

I concur with CFRO- went hook & line last weekend in 50ft range. Couldn't see the anchor line after about 10 ft, very silty green water. Plus 57 degree water temps kept my candy ass in the boat. Hope to hear a good report from one of you brave souls that actually get in the water this weekend.
