Suunto M1
Hello everyone. I am new here. I have only been spearing for a few years so I'm still figuring things out. I was wondering if anyone has ever used this watch before? (Suunto M1) It lists for around $100. It has a large digital display and a hearth rate monitor. I thought that it would be good for spearing, because I can work my breath holds and monitor my heart rate. For example if my heart rate is over 120 or so I can know to stay on top for another minute or so before diving back down. Also the stopwatch feature would be a huge confidence aid. So if I'm at the bottom and I'm ready to come back up, but the watch says 40 seconds and on the last dive it said 55 seconds before I went up, I know I can relax for another 15 seconds before swimming up. It is waterproof to 100ft. I don't know, just thought it would be helpful, and $100 seems very reasonable.
