Sweet! Now we can just criticize your poor taste in clothing and stop nagging you about your dive flag

Thanks for the replies! I am itching to hit the water! I have plans for 5-1 so far. I hope the weather is good! Is anyone doing the tourney 5-2 to 5-4?

Absolutely, the tournament is the first major competition of the year and always a great time. It will have 100+ shooters, plus the prize table is looking pretty sweet this year.

Re: New Diver to the area

Hey everyone seems like your all in my neck of the woods... I'm active duty Army living in Dunedin and I'm recruiting in saint Pete. I was stationed in Hawaii for 7 years , which I've done nothing but freedive spearfishing. I've been dry for the 18 months I've been here itching to get in the water. Seal rock no issues with some lessons gotta get the dust out of my lungs though ha. I spent the last 6 months diving with Daryl Wong before leaving Hawaii for Florida so I was able to pick up a few things

Re: New Diver to the area

Excellent dive with the gang today! Girlfriend saw her first bull and loved it. We saw parrot fish, turtles, eagle spotted rays, giant stingray and my favorite, a very friendly Goliath Grouper.

The vis was so good you could make out the barges and pyramids without sticking your head in the water. The new dive flag from cool water products works well.

Lates.

And it was a GOOD thing we could see the barges and pyramids thanks to your poor octogenarian bottom finder giving up the ghost!

New Diver to the area

LOL. I'll look for a new one tomorrow.

Edit: The adaptor to the Airmar came loose further downstream. Works like never before.
